This limited edition Dao 道 of Zen Indigo Kimono Robe Jacket is made with plant-based dyeing with thick premium cotton, resulting in a deep, rich indigo blue that cannot be replicated with chemical dyeing. Thick and warm, it's a stylish and luxurious addition to any wardrobe.
Note: This product is indigo blue dyed by natural plants. After several indigo plant-based dip dyeing, the problem of colour difference and fading of clothes is normal and not a quality problem. It is a Zen and Dao practice to care for your garments with such sacredness and divine patience. It is recommended to wash by hand and separate from other clothes. Do not expose to sunlight.
Plant dyeing can deepen the color through repeated dyeing, and continuously superimpose plant-based dip dyeing to obtain thick and deep indigo. Chemical dyeing can not dye such dark blue, which is one of its charms.
About the fading problem of blue dye:
Indigo dyeing is a fading process, and the color fading during the pre-cleaning process is more severe, and the first three waters will be particularly noticeable.
Why does blue dye fade?
The blue dyed products in our shop are all hand-dyed by ancient methods. The indigo dyes used are all fermented from pure natural plants, because the adhesion of the dye itself is very low, and the blue colour is formed by oxidation in contact with air, even so, the cotton core part is also difficult to dye transparently. Therefore, through long-term wearing and washing, the sharp contrast between blue and white will appear on the friction part. And the good blue dye is not fading, but maintains the stability of the shape after fading, does not deform, and has a small shrinkage rate.
Care Instructions:
Mild wash at 30 degrees, hand washing is recommended.
Do not use detergents that contain bleach.
Spread it flat to dry, or fold it head to tail and hang it to dry. Do not expose to the sun, and let it dry naturally in the shade.
